(PITTSBURGH) September 22 - The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) today announced that parking for Downtown workers is available at the Pittsburgh Technology Center (PTC) garage and South Side Works surface lot during the G20 Summit.
Those Downtown workers interested in commuting by way of the Eliza Furnace Trail will have access to parking at the Pittsburgh Technology Center garage or the surface parking lot at South Side Works on both Thursday and Friday.
Employees who wish to bike the trail will be able to park at the surface lot at the South Side Works for $1 for the entire day. Bicycles are necessary to park in this lot. Bikers can then proceed across the Hot Metal Pedestrian Bridge to access the Eliza Furnace Trail and then Downtown. The lot is located at 26th and Sidney streets (15203) within the SouthSide Works development. There are approximately 300 spaces available, first come, first served.
The parking garage at the Pittsburgh Technology Center will also be available for walkers or bikers at a daily rate of $9. Credit or debit card payment only is accepted at the PTC garage; there is no cash payment option available at this time. The garage is located at 401 Technology Drive (15219), within the PTC development. There are 352 spaces available, first come, first served.
The South Side Works parking lot will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the PTC Garage will be open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
